This version of Receipts Space improves the app exactly where you use it every day. New features that make a real difference in daily use.
Category settings that think along
Until now, a recognized contact was simply set to the most frequent category. Now you decide based on what logic: Should the contact be assigned the category of its most recent receipt? Or would you prefer it to have no category at all? Of course, you can also stick with the default setting, “most frequent.”
And for those cases where a contact always belongs in the same drawer, there’s the fixed default category on contact level – set it once, and it always takes precedence. That way, your electricity provider’s receipt reliably lands under “Utilities” without you having to correct it every time.
Re-run recognition after the fact
Sometimes you want to send a receipt through recognition again from scratch – for example, because a better-quality original became available later. For that, there are now two new commands for your selected receipts:
- Rebuild the text layer – refreshes the searchable layer
- Re-read amounts, date, and vendor – just like a fresh import
No more deleting and re-importing just to run recognition once more.
Quickly save a copy elsewhere
A small move with a big effect: hold the ⌥ key (option/alt) in the document list, and “Open PDF Document” and “Open Original” turn into “Save As.” That way you can store a copy in another location in no time, without the detour through export.
Screenshot right in the feedback form
Want to show us what you mean? The feedback form now has a Screenshot button: capture part of your screen, attach it with a single click, done. Good feedback has never been this fast.
Bottom line: on-target suggestions, flexible re-capturing, and a library that helps itself when it counts. Grab the update – and if you notice anything, well, now you know where the screenshot button is.
